Camp Sylvester is located on seven (7) acres in the Stanislaus National Forest one-quarter mile from Pinecrest Lake, California 40 minutes east of Sonora on State Highway 108.

Collectively as a group of various program members, volunteers, community leaders and businesses we have established the foundation for a program and camp facility that allows youth to engage in opportunities that stimulate self-determination, decision making, and goal setting to complete various tasks as part of the camp programming. As teams and individuals youth are asked to complete projects such as constructing wilderness emergency shelters, water purification, GPS mapping, environmental awareness/conservation, craft projects and outdoor sports (baseball, basketball, volleyball, high elements/cable lined tree climbing, canoeing, fishing, lake swimming, mountain climbing, open air meadow camping, animal tracking, woodwork, ECT.) in the Western Sierra Nevada Mountains.  Camp Sylvester is owned and operated by the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau.
